StudentCommsChat is an Australian based online program for networking and professional development.
How we started?
Student Comms Chat initially started with a conversation on Twitter between our founder Ross Monaghan and honourable chatter Jaimie. They spoke about students wanting to connect with communication practitioners. From there, Students Comms Chat was launched online in April 2020.
It was established as a program for networking and professional development for students. The team expanded throughout the year of 2020.
In 2020, Student Comms Chat hosted over 40 events.
2021 has been a year of rebranding and expansion. We are still hosting events and are working on expanding our name and our team. In March 2021, we expanded our team to the Content & Events, Social Media and Internal Communications.
Our goal is to inform, inspire and connect media and communications students and professionals globally.
